Resume: Keywords

We welcome you back to the third session of ‘Resume – Marketing Campaign’ series. In this session we will discuss about importance of keywords.

One of the most important step in preparing a resume is to use keywords. The next question could be, What are keywords? How important are those? The potential recruiter uses keywords (using Application Tracker System, ATS) the way we use to search a topic in search engine such as Bing, Google and others. Hence it is important to have those key words to match the criteria and maximum to find you in around thousand of resumes.

This is same analogy like website designers use known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) by weaving keywords to drive more traffic. In similar way, add keywords you optimize your resume search.

I leave you with a question, how do I know what keywords to use in resume? We shall discuss about it the next session. We hope you enjoyed reading this one. We welcome your suggestions and views. Good day! God be with you always!
