“Here comes a compilation of 40 short stories by Meena R Chandawarkar and Santosh Avvannavar that uses The Umbilical Cord as a metaphor to bring social awareness and intends to draw the reader’s attention towards the society. We bring to you series of article to give insights for aspiring writers how the book evolved (Part 1). For next several days we had talk on the kind of stories that would cover facts, myths and reality of kidney issues to weave in between the stories. Dr. Sandeep’s personal experience of handling various patient was handy to understand the technicalities and stories were woven in between. The first chapter was Unforgotten Love, Love That Returned and Faith that has a story of a doctor who neglects a high blood pressure being a doctor himself and it was one of the root cause for kidney failure.

Quote from the chapter-

‘My love story is no less than Shahrukhan movies, Kabhi Failure Kabhi Recovery’
